Kelvin Roy

A Live Entertainer for Life, Kelvin Roy has performed all around the world of music, including USA, New Zealand, and Australia.
Specialties include Latin & Klezmer in addition to mainstream jazz and blues fare (as well as children’s music), all with a pop sensibility.

He is a vocalist, percussionist and brass specialist, who entertains to enlighten.

He also is a writer and music producer, who has released 21 albums of mostly original music as of 2021.
His Around the World of Music Live album—recorded in Auckland—got into the top 20 of the Jazz Charts on the CMJ Network in the USA, including #1 on KAFM.

After performing jazz and Latin music in six US states, he came to New Zealand and was an early member of the Nairobi Trio, a founding member of the Jews Brothers Band, Sonora, and his BlueStars Band. This saw him working as a band leader in Auckland for 12 years. He also led the Tequila Sunset Band in Wellington. Add to that the BlueStars klezmer jazz band in Australia and that rounds out the picture. He is also a veteran performer at many jazz and wine festivals and corporate functions. He currently also does the lead for Twin City Stompers in Napier.

Nicolás López

As a guitarist and percussionist working with artists from different fields such as theatre, music, dancing and poetry, he has created audio-visual performances based on cultures of the world.

Performing in cultural festivals and Fringe festivals and other venues around NZ, he creates cosmopolitan music and shares energy for people to enjoy the beauty of the melody. His music features an infinite mix of harmonies and dance to the rhythm of the percussion made on a Cajón Peruano (box drum).
