PME Entertainment Agents (Formerly Pete McGregor Entertainment) is owned and operated by Pete McGregor, a well known Auckland jazz and rock 'n roll bassist.
Pete originally started this web site in 1998 to promote his own bands and those in which he worked as a sideman. However he started to get inquiries for other types of bands and entertainers, so he added these to the site as well. This grew and grew and still grows with more acts being added each month. Not just bands, but also tribute shows, comedians, and public speakers. All acts added to the site are either known to Pete and/or his experienced staff, or undergo a audition process and evaluation by PME staff before they are added to listings. This assures quality.

*PME is run by entertainers so we know what can be done and what cannot be done. We know what band will not suit a certain style of event. We know the stage size required etc. A lot of small details like these are missed by other entertainment agents who largely leave the booking arrangements to young office girls with no entertainment experience. (apologies to all office girls- Sorry girls!)
*All acts offered through PME have been vetted by the PME listing process as to suitability. We choose which acts we add to our listings. Not all applicants are accepted - your guarantee of quality.
*Full discussion with client as to suitability of act(s) for your event
*All bookings secured by written contracts for both Client and Act
*Clear contractual arrangements regarding meals, refreshments, dress codes, set up times, stage size, etc (no surprises - better than dealing with an act direct!)
*Only top quality, reliable acts provided
*All Taxation issues handled by PME
*Client and act contacted about 2 weeks preceding event to ensure everything is as arranged.
*Act contacted 1-2 days before event to again check everything all cool
* All Fees paid before event held effectively in trust before payment to act. Payouts are made to the act 5 working days after event, so there is time for client to query payment if there are any issues with performances.
*Follow up with client after event to check on client satisfaction
