John Morton - A Tribute Show to the Shadows
John has been involved in Music from the age of 12 years old. The first tune he played right through was APACHE by The Shadows, he has always had a close relationship with their music. He has played guitar with Hank Marvin (The Shadow’s Lead guitarist) and met and played with the rest of the band members over the years.
John is a highly regarded guitar maker, and player.
The past 6 decades of his musical experience include local bands:
The original Mockers, Nobody’s Children, Jamestown Union, Humble Pie, Deja Vu, Full Circle, C.V.E. (Corporate Voice Experience) Shane Hales. Shane and the Pleasers and later Shane and the Shadz, winning The Variety Artists Club Of NZ, 2014 Benny Award for “Group of the year.”
John has, in the last 5 years perfected his solo show, “A TRIBUTE SHOW TO THE SHADOWS” which he has presented with success, at large open-air markets, and resorts in Queensland Australia. And now in Auckland and at various venues around New Zealand.
