The dynamic duo “in2strings” can cater for a variety of occasions. Their repertoire includes spectacular renditions of songs from Michael Jackson, the Eagles, Gotye, Green Day, Led Zeppelin, Bruno Mars and more. Their show-stopping set list is versatile, using a blend of multiple genres to create an unforgettable musical experience.
Their differing backgrounds provide a unique combination of modern contemporary and classical material.
Born and bred in the city of sails, Nick Jones started violin at the age of four and has been playing ever since. The Kiwi born performer’s talents also include bass guitar and piano.
The young achiever obtained an ATCL (Associate of the Trinity College of London) performance diploma at 15. Under the name “Strung Out,” Nick and his brother, Chris Jones, competed as an acoustic duo, reaching the top 30 in the first season of “New Zealand’s Got Talent”. Nick is also a successful music tutor, and this allows him to share his knowledge, love and passion for music with others.
Nick has a keen interest in a broad spectrum of genres, ranging from jazz to electronic music.
Petrus Fourie has been living in New Zealand for the last 15 years, but was born in Windhoek, Namibia before moving to Pretoria, South Africa, where he grew up. Raised by a mother who was a classical pianist and a father who was always jamming The Beach Boys, musical ambition was embedded in his family genes. He has over 17 years experience playing the guitar.
In 2007, Fourie graduated with a diploma in Contemporary Music Performance from Mainz in Auckland City.
One of the highlights of his music career was an invitation to play for artist Kaitlin Riegel in Berlin where she recorded her album with Australian producer, Simon Berckelman. This experience gave him valuable exposure to the music industry.
But Fourie is not only musically talented, he is also aesthetically gifted. In 2013 he won the title of Mr. International New Zealand in Indonesia competing against contestants from 40 other countries.
