Moxy is a covers band with a difference.
They play a huge range of music: rock’n’roll, musicals, jazz, soul, rock, ballads, latin and R&B from artists such as Cole Porter, Buddy Holly, Ray Charles, Elton John, The Pointer Sisters, Van Morrison, Michael Jackson, Sting, Coldplay, Santana, Meghan Trainor and Camilla Cabello.
Moxy are always on the lookout for new songs and enjoy arranging them for their line-up. This means the band can tailor their music to the special character of your function, whether it be a wedding, conference, soiree, dance or particular celebration.
Themed events Moxy have played for include a Latin dance evening, a musical-theatre wedding, a Roaring ‘20s dance, a favourite-celebrity birthday party, and an ANZAC tribute. The band has developed a full repertoire of songs for ballroom dancing: tango, foxtrot, waltz, samba, rumba, jive, and rock and roll - for novices and experts!
Moxy enjoy making memorable music for each occasion, and will communicate closely with you to identify exactly what you want.
The Moxy five-piece has male and female vocals supported by saxophone, flute, keyboard, bass and lead guitars, congas and other percussion – ideal for background and dance. The music is not too loud; your guests can still catch up with each other while others are dancing.
