Hipnotics also feature from the Hootenannies; Jeanette (saxophone), Helen (trumpet), and Sonya (trombone). On bass is one of NZ’s most celebrated musical exports, Simon Koperu, who too has recently returned to NZ after a dynamic career as one of Japan’s leading bass players, performing on countless sessions and recordings and with a host of International stars. Lead singer recently returned to Aotearoa from Australia where she has beena full-time singer for the past 12 years is LaDean Malifa. David Greer is one of NZs most experienced live artists and plays guitar and also sings. On drums is 21 year old new kid on the block, drummer Baileigh Sparks, and the band is rounded off by its Musical Director, Caleb Brbich (keyboards).
