The Sound Foundation features two of New Zealand’s most vastly experienced jazz musicians. Both Julie Mason (piano & vocals) and Pete McGregor (double bass) have performed at festivals and concerts throughout Australasia, and in Paris, London, Berlin, Bucharest and various other noteworthy cities.
As musicians for corporate events they have performed (together or individually) for everyone from USA President Bill Clinton, Queen Elizabeth II and numerous other prime ministers to cabinet ministers and leaders of the business world such as Graeme Hart and Eric Watson. Pete and Julie have also played for hundreds if not thousands of business events, from large multinational companies such as Bentley and Lexus to small enterprises .
For weddings and other private functions the Sound Foundation can tailor their music to suit the theme of the event, from wedding nuptuals through to banquets and parties. They can also supplement the group as required with drums, sax or trumpet to play music for dancing later in the evening.
Their combined experience enables them to suggest tunes for special events or a significant part of the festivities, and they are only too happy to oblige if that special piece requires them to add it to their repertoire.
The Sound Foundation provide all their own equipment suitable both for intimate parties through to large corporate events, including stage lighting if required. Clients are welcome to use the PA equipment for speeches.
Incidental tasteful background music will be played through the band’s breaks.
The presentation of this group will be in keeping with your proposed event, from smart casual through to formal evening dress.
