NRJ takes jazz, blues, jive, soul, and pop tunes and then plays them in different ways … swing instead of classic rock ... gypsy jazz instead of punk.

They bring their sophisticated style to hits from Madonna, Prince, Nat King Cole, Pink Floyd, Peggy Lee, The Dead Kennedys, Ray Charles, Led Zeppelin, Rod Stewart and more.

Songs you know but not as you know them!

From Wellington, New Zealand, NRJ is fronted by Tineke Marie Taylor on vocals, flute, and percussion, with Jeremy Winter on keyboard, Martin Durrant on drums, and Murray Costello on bass.

Tineke has crooned with the Harbour City Showband, Brasso & Friends, and California Dreamers. Jeremy mastered both the black and white keys in jazz, rock, and funk bands, including Dr Walcott’s Cold Foot Elixir, Off the Hook, and Shaky Ground. Murray has twanged all four strings for The Wooden Box Band, Let's Planet, The Mockers, and Hobnail. Drummer Martin Durrant from Sneaky Feelings joined NRJ in 2022. Jeremy, Murray, and Martin also play together in the Dylan tribute band The Zimmermans.
