Sir Duke has undergone some changes over the last 2 years. Members have come and gone and there is now a new line up which still has 40 years of experience in the business.

The band is now a 5 piece unit performing numbers from the 70’s onwards.

The members are now :-
Jannene Ryder – Vocals
Riley Kupa – Vocals and guitar
Neil Sloan – Drums and vocals
Ian Wallis – Lead Guitar and vocals
Neil Harrison – Bass guitar and vocals

The band was formed in the early 1970’s by three of the original members. Sir Duke was a success from the start and has performed at hundreds of functions ranging from weddings to charity balls and corporate events across the country.

Sir Duke was the legendary resident house band at the popular Leopard Hotel on marine parade Napier from 1978-1987.

Sir Duke still plays a wide variety of music from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s through to today. The band can also cater to specific requests from their clients. The longevity of Sir Duke is due to the bands dedication and belief in giving a good and rewarding performance every time.

The band has the experience and ability to diversify its musical style to cater for audiences of all ages.

By popular demand Sir Duke was specially selected as support act for the Mission Estate Hawkes Bay Concert 2014. This was a very special and wonderful opportunity for the band to perform and to support the main international celebrities - Ronan Keating - Melanie C - Leo Sayer - Billy Ocean & Sharon Corr.

Recent gigs have included supporting “The Lady Killers’ at River Park Events Centre, various weddings and other celebrations such as “Mingle and Jingle” Christmas events in CHB.
