Hi Pete,

This is for you, but also to pass on to Barry. I am happy for you to use the first paragraph (in bold) in your promotions.

Thank you for arranging for such a lovely piper to play at our daughter's wedding on Saturday, especially at such short notice. Barry played 'Flowers of Scotland' with skill and passion, and there were a lot of tears in a lot of eyes as he piped in our beautiful Juliet, walking in on her proud father's arm.

My only regret is that Barry did not play for longer. He looked so handsome in his kilt and we would all have enjoyed hearing more of his playing. Juliet however, had said that she wanted the piping in to be something of a surprise to all the guests and very very special so she did not want it to be just a part of a longer piping performance. It was a long way for Barry to come to play just the one very brief tune, but it was exactly what the bride had wanted and she was so thrilled to have him do that. On her wedding day, the bride's wishes are paramount!

Please pass on to Barry our thanks and appreciation for a fine effort that made the arrival of the bride quite perfect. Would you please also tell him that I do hope someone offered him some sustenance - as mother of the bride I was preoccupied but would have wanted him to be looked after and I feel concerned that he may have had to return to Auckland unfed.

I hope there will be a good photograph to send to you in due course.
