Jump swing band Their classy, horn-driven swing music and jump blues appeals to music lovers and dancers alike.
The Alibis' sound has been influenced by swing and jump blues combos from the 1950s rhythm and blues era and the neo-swing revival of the late 1990s.
"The Alibis sensibly avoid the over-familiar tunes in this 50s-style of jazz-pop (mercifully no Louis Jordan overkill) and keep the music tight'n'tidy... Jump blues is good-time music and they sound like they are having a good time doing it."

Auckland University Old Government House Jazz Day
The Alibis were brilliant, as expected! Despite our lack of numbers they still put on a great show.

The band worked out really well. The youth that attended where mainly between 15 and 20 years old and they had no problem dancing to the music and it fitted so well with our Swing theme. A number wore swing dresses. We also had a DJ which I think provided a good balance. The band were professional and good to work with.
The web site is great for finding bands and saved heaps of time.
