Graeme Webb
was
a founder member/arranger of the well-known group Fondue Set featuring
Caitlin Smith.
Recently Graeme decided to leave the comfort
of that group and start his own trio performing a mixture of standards
and originals each with his unique arrangements.
Graeme has been greatly influenced by his
hero, legendary jazz guitarist Pat Metheny, so it is little wonder
that many Metheny tunes are included in the band repertoire. Graeme
brings no fewer than 5 different guitars to the job in his search
for the exact sound he desires for each number.
Graemes group is well rehearsed with fine
performances by all members will add a different tone to your
event being guitar based rather than the more common piano based
group.
Performances include surprising versions of well-known tunes highlighting
Graemes’ arranging talents. The group was one of the featured
acts at the prestigious Winter Jazz Series at the Auckland Art
Gallery 2003
Graemes' originals performed by the Chris
Mason-battley group have achieved top world MP3 sales status and
an invitation to perform them in New York later in 2003
