Accord
Vocal Accord was formed
in 1994. Over the last 11 years, and with a mix of different singers,
‘Vocal Accord’ has been three times bronze medal winners
at New Zealand’s National Championships, twice winners of
the Wellington Regional competitions, and has been in the top
five in NZ more often than any other quartet.
Vocal Accord has performed on National Radio and TV, at the ‘Reading
Cinema Complex’ at the annual Parliamentary banquet at the
‘Beehive’, the ‘Park Royal Deutz Ball’,
TePapa Museum, Athletic Park (rugby warm-up), wine and food festivals
in Hawke’s Bay and Nelson, at many restaurants and weddings
and at various concerts, parties and social occasions.
Vocal Accord has written and recorded promotional jingles for
Saatchi and Saatchi and Telecom and recorded professional CDs
with the Hogsnort Rupert band.
For two years Vocal Accord was sponsored by Origin Pacific Airways
(OPA) and a close relationship still remains between OPA and the
quartet.
In 2002, Vocal Accord attended the prestigious Harmony College
in Missouri, United States.
