For over 12 years, Tongue and Groove has consistently been considered one of
the premier cover bands in Auckland performing for celebrity occasions,
company events, wedding receptions and private parties New Zealand wide.
With two of Auckland's top female singers out front, Zara & Charlie from
award winning NZ band Deep Obsession, Tongue and Groove perform a wide range
of songs to satisfy all age groups, and play only well known songs that
everyone loves. Tongue and Groove are very experienced in choosing the music
that will work best to achieve a full dance floor and very adept at reading
the audience mood and creating the right mix for their enjoyment.

Zara Clark
Zara has performed with some of New Zealand's finest musicians and singers.
In the late 90's, she made NZ music history with her band Deep Obsession by becoming the first NZ band to achieve number one with their first 3 singles,including a remake of the 70's song "Lost In Love".
Zara has performed extensively around world including support tours for Hanson, S-Club 7,Vengaboys and Five.
Her strong soulful voice and unique vocal style will impress everyone.

Stewart Hunt
Piano/Keyboards/Vocals
Stewart is the musical hub of the Tongue and Groove wheel, performing with his three keyboards and sequencer to provide the band with its full-bodied sound. Stewart’s keys enable the band to sound like an orchestra if required – something not all four piece bands can do!

Stewart is also a professional Broadcaster/MC, and has broadcast on Auckland radio on and off for nearly 20 years – great, if your MC’s lost his voice!

Bruce French
Saxophone/Vocals

A professional musician for 20 years,
Bruce has performed with a wide variety of artists including Tom Sharplin, Ray Columbus, Sonny Day,
Ritchie Pickette, Mark Heke, Peter Morgan and Bunny Walters.

Bruce’s wonderful improvisation and sax solos make him a popular focal point in the band.

Charlie

Charlie now shares the spotlight out front with Zara, to create a whole new dimension to the Tand G sound. The combination of Charlie and Zara creates awesome harmony and lead vocals, and makes for a very enticing and sexy look. Charlie and Zara have performed together before as "Deep Obsession" and really know how to work the crowd.

Hi Kellie, The band Tongue & Groove is extremely good and very well received - the dancing went from the first few notes. I was a tad annoyed when they took a break when I had discussed no break to which they agreed to. Lost at least, if not more of the crowd during that break, however one of the female singers - who were brilliant, was thoroughly pregnant so probably not surprised to see her struggling after an hour.
