SparX
Brian plays lead and rhythm guitars, harmonica
and lead vocals. Using the latest in sequencing technology, he
programs all our backing tracks.
The result is a full band sound. Brian has been involved in the
NZ music industry for many years, interspersed with trips overseas,
where he has also performed solo and in bands.
Shona has been performing with Brian for the past 3 years, and
although quite new to the business, has a natural talent for singing
and entertaining.
SparX broad repertoire allows them to cater for all age groups
and all types of functions. Ranging from quiet easy-listening
music such as Van Morrison and Cat Stevens, through popular classics
from the 50s to 90s, to recent hits by contemporary artists. Musical
styles range from a waltz to hard rock, and include blues, rock’n’roll,
techno-pop, rhythm & blues, country, middle-of-the-road, folk,
classic rock and original compositions.
Unlike many bands, SparX know how to turn the volume down for
weddings, restaurants etc, but if required have a top-of-the-line
PA system capable of pumping out a floor full of dance beat.
SparX also understand the importance of being reliable, punctual
and well presented.
