Since the year 2000, The Sound Workshop have been providing quality entertainment throughout New Zealand as well as off shore. Their performers love their work and arrive at every venue, ready to give the audience a show to remember.

With choreographed dancing, funky “Retro” costuming to match, they start off with rock ‘n’ roll hit’s from the 1950’s and 60’s. Followed by the 1970’s; complete with flares, afros and “pimped out” threads. Last but not least the 1980’s where they unleash wild mullets, extremely tight jeans, leopard print and crazy makeup! On tour throughout the country all year round, a show from The Sound Workshop is the perfect choice for public events and corporate functions and is guaranteed to deliver, a high energy performance, with top-notch musicianship and very slick production.

Celebrating the era that brought us Rock 'n' Roll. Starting with a boppin' tour though time you'll love the hits of yesteryear, with costumes and dances to match.
1970’s
Dance the night away with all your favorite disco numbers. With mirror balls, Afros and flares you’ll be sure to remember the good times of the 70’s!
1980’s
Who can forget the decade of misplaced fashion! They’ll be there with frizzy fringes, mullets and mini skirts!

As for the band The Sound Workshop these guys were fantastic, the quality of music they made was phenomenal, each and everyone of the band put everything into the show and the guests just loved them. We had people from all ages and there was something for everyone who were all up dancing right through to the end what a great experience the band was. They were definitely the difference I was looking for when choosing the entertainment for the wedding, it was more of a show than just another covers band. For anyone looking for a great band we totally recommend them, If you want to see what they are like check their promo videos they are just like it in real life and the sound is amazing, with so many bands all you hear are the drums or a messy mixture, with these guys you hear everything especially the singer who was awesome. By the way they were approachable and interesting to talk to as well no rock star egos here which was great. We just loved them.
