The Snazz Jazz Set is a mix of suave sophistication
and swinging style; well known for their cool grooves on hot nights,
The perfect addition to any event! Directed
by vocalist Katie and pianist Jessi they are both experienced,
professional musicians who have performed at many venues in and
around Christchurch and Wellington, including holding residencies
at Rydges Hotel , The Millenium Hotel and Clearwater Resort. They
have performed at the Queenstown Jazz Festival, were featured
at the 2006 Christchurch Jazz Festival as part of the young jazz
musicians series and have played countless numbers of weddings
and corporate functions. Add to this their many performances in
bars, cafés and in and around the streets of Christchurch,
Snazz Jazz can be suitable for any event!
Although Snazz Jazz primarily consists of vocalist Katie and pianist
Jessi, they are able to provide additional instrumentation by
request (such as saxophone, bass and/or drums) to form a trio,
quartet or quintet dance band and they can often be seen in any
of these formats playing with some of Christchurch's and now Wellington’s
leading jazz musicians.
So whether the occasion requires a sultry jazz duo, funky grooves,
or a dance band that is really swinging, Snazz Jazz can provide
it all!
