Lochceol

LochCeol is a music duo of Ann-Marie Wall and Allen Hogan who perform both as a flute/piano duo or a harpsichord/flute duo or flute duo.

LochCeol play a wide range of music, predominantly classical, from both the Baroque and Romantic eras. They also play popular music of the 1920’s and 30’s in a relaxed easy listening light jazz style.
In recent years the members of LochCeol have performed recitals in Oamaru and Wanaka,
This music is very suitable for weddings and other public functions as background music.

Ann-Marie is a young Irish lass who has a degree from Waterford in Piano and Flute performance. She also runs a music teaching academy in Wanaka.

Allen Hogan is a retiree who has considerable musical experience in a wide range of instruments, although over the past 13 years has concentrated on his flute performance. Primarily self taught he has supplemented this with master classes in Australia, Ireland, Croatia and here in New Zealand.

Both Ann-Marie and Allen have a wide interest in musical styles from classical through Jazz to traditional Irish music.

Their repertoire represents about 2 hours of continuous music - note that the Baroque music played as piano/flute duo is played with the piano in Harpsichord mode.
