The Jeep Rd sound is an interesting mix of original songs and covers. Overall a fairly relaxed contemporary blues/dub (well it is Wellington) sound with enough funky up tempo to keep the dancers busy. Joe works with his arranging magic on the covers to keep them sounding fresh, and Clare has finally talked the band into dusting off their vocal chords and they are now providing some beautiful backing vocals, nice.

Jeep Rd can offer a jazz trio for the cocktail hour followed by the full band for party time. Horn players and keyboards can also be added if required.

Clare Christian of Jeep Rd has been singing and writing for . . . pretty much ever. She had a great 4 years (2005 to 2009) in London where she worked regularly with band ‘Ultralounge’ and tutored young musicians in a rock academy. She decided that London is great! . . . but Wellington’s better . . . and on her return was lucky enough to snaffle Joe, Tim and Spence to form Jeep Rd.
