Intercity Strings
was founded in 1988. it's international players are all members of the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra

The Quartet has a busy schedule of serious concerts as well as performances of lighter music at social engagements. Their recent activities include concerts for Princess Anne during a NZ visit, recitals for the Ministry of Foreign affairs at official Government receptions and performances for the Austrian and German Societies.

The Quartet covers a wide repertoire from Vivaldi's Four Seasons, through the famous popular quartets of the Classic and Romantic periods to Vienese Waltzes, Gershwin and Cole Porter.

Ideal For: background music for wedding service and reception, house party, garden party, product release, background situations

Thank you very much. We did have rain which did cause abit of stress however the four who came out where awesome and played under extreme tight conditions space wise. Hi Pete,
Sorry for the delay in response - we've been traveling and just getting over jetlag!
I just want to say that the string quartet was a wonderful addition to our garden wedding. They added so much to the ambiance and made our day very special. They arrived on time, were very professional and played great music. Everyone commented on how lovely it was to have them there.
