Drive Thru
drive-thru are an affordable auckland-based male duo covers band.
“Small-band with big-sound” pretty much sums it up! drive-thru are able to be as big or small as you want for your next party, or corporate event. They have played at boutique back-yard venues through to the Auckland Town Hall.
Passion and energy is what drive-thru are all about, playing popular tunes with live vocals and guitar through sequenced backing tracks.

DEANE VIPOND began singing support at corporate gigs in 1999 for the covers band "DC Candy", before breaking away with drive-thru mid 2006.

Like Chris, he spends most of his time in the business world "working flat out" for a rapidly growing NZ based manufacturing company.
"I love my job, but my real passion is music and entertainment. If I could, I'd be playing live full-time. I just love it".

Deane's other passion in life is his young family. He spends time supporting his wife with their daughter's local school, and busy active sporting interests. Deane has also appeared acting in Xena, Shortland Street, City Life and a host of other local TV productions, TV ads, and various modeling assignments, and is still sought after as "maturing" talent with Nova Models and Talent.

CHRIS JONES is an accomplished musician and has been playing in bands around Auckland since the early 1980's. Now also in the business world Chris spends his leisure time sequencing the backing music for drive-thru and playing live, when time allows.

Chris's vision for drive-thru is to provide a fun, affordable and professional evenings live music for parties, weddings and corporate functions to our clients.

Chris says "Deane and I are great mates and we absolutely love playing Live. We are both really busy in our professional careers so we select our live performances carefully and manage the number of these we do each year.
This ensures we maintain the highest quality possible".
