DR ROCK is a leading band in Wellington on the Club and Corporate Event circuit. They are a very experienced 5-piece classic rock band with male and female lead vocals. Their repertoire is diverse with classic rock and blues covers from all eras and genres but favouring 70's.

In 2008 DR ROCK added a 45 minute tribute to the great blues/rock legend JANIS JOPLIN. (see below)

As DR.ROCK, we often play on the name and often perform in medical gear, but this isn't absolutely necessary, we can perform in rock style casuals or other themes depending on the clients wishes.

We also invite our prospective clients to request a song they like that doesn't happen to be on our list so that we can personalize the evening for them.

Stan Gratowski - Lead vocals / drums
Lead singer with the 'NZ Pink Floyd Experience', lead vocals and drums with rock band 'Turbo Rats', recently playing at the National Harley Davidson Conference at the Westpac Stadium and the National Triumph Owners Conference. Soon to do a National tour with the NZ Pink Floyd Experience's "Back Catalogue" '09.

Nicole Chesterman - Lead vocals
Nicole works fulltime as a lead vocalist in a wide range of bands including 'Rock Factory', 'California Dreamers', 'Abba Addiction', 'The Troubadours' and backing vocals for the NZ Pink Floyd Experience etc...occasionally recording jingles for the Radio Network. She is highly regarded as having one best rock voices in the business.

Mike Donovan - Lead guitar / vocals
Mike plays a mean lead guitar and, for nearly 20 years has been with 'The Turbo Rats', prior to the Rats he played with 'The Dick Thrust Blues Band'. Mike is a singer/songwriter, well-known for his driving hard rock sound and this experience is what gives DR ROCK it's solid rock/blues foundation. He is looking forward to releasing his originals C.D, "Mike Donovan" at Xmas.

Ray Cox - Bass guitar / vocals
Ray drives a thumping great bass sound and has also played with the 'Turbo Rats' for longer than he can remember! Prior to that he was also a member of "The Dick Thrust Blues Band", "Off The Handle", "Mac Attack" and originals band, "Siberia". He's a legend amongst Hot Rod and Chopper enthusiasts all over NZ.

Alistair Murray - Keyboards / backing vocals
Alistair has played professionally in clubs and festivals throughout Australia and New Zealand since the 70's.

... is not only performing the songs she is renowned for such as Piece Of My Heart, Bobby McGee, Mercedez Benz, Ball and Chain, The Turtle Blues etc.. it is a whole 'experience' with costume based on real Joplin outfits and dialogue that Janis Joplin was famous for in her live concerts.
