The authentic sounds of the Golden Era of Dixieland Jazz.
This hot little trio specialises in entertaining people with popular Dixieland jazz standards (1920s, 1930s, 1940s) played on period instruments.

The Darktown Strutters Dixie Trio are a superb combination of excellent musicianship and wonderful visuals. Our traditional attire adds that authentic feel to any special event and brings a special blend of tradition and fireworks to any occasion.

We have a very happy up tempo sound featuring clarinet , Sousaphone (or double bass) and banjo and vocals. This makes for a really fun and interesting sound which is visually exciting as well, especially with my brass megaphone for vocals and Mike's antique late 1920s Sousaphone.

For a festive outdoor sound we can use the Sousaphone or a double bass for a more sophisticated indoor sound.
Cocktails anyone? A cool background atmosphere for your company do?
If you require a quartet we can add trumpet or trombone to our basic lineup.
Although most of our engagements are private parties, we regularly create an upbeat mood for public events throughout the Auckland Area.

Ideal for: 1930's themed Company event, Wedding, Birthday party, Promo. Indoor events
