There is always an energetic, fun and friendly atmosphere on stage, while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism.
Our primary aim is to entertain the crowd with songs that they want to hear.

The Contagious front-of-house setup is controlled through our fully-automated sixteen channel Yamaha LS9-16 desk and powered by HK Audio amplifiers and speakers, giving Contagious the perfect rig for playing successful gigs from small rooms to tents, halls, and even open-air events. This setup allows us to do a full mic-up on all instruments, producing a full professional sound, at the right volume for the venue. Added to this, our extensive lighting system gives the stage and dance floor a true nightclub feel.

Brett plays keyboards, and sings when he's allowed. He used to be in the band Rainbow Bridge. When he first heard of Contagious he thought "What a great name for a band!". The only thing left to do of course was to join them, which he did midway through 2000. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Carlos is a guitar genuis (aka "God", or "Carlosus") who used to teach guitar. Before joining us he'd been out of the band scene for a while... not that you'd know it by the way he plays. He ain't called Carlos for nothing!

Frank has been playing the drums since high school and ever since has been a solid backbone for many bands across New Zealand. Frank is also a drum teacher during the day.

Terrence is one of the younger members of Contagious, but has a musical ability well beyond his years, so fits in perfectly with the rest of us wrinklies. He tends to get a lot of female attention, but being the consummate professional that he is, the ladies only get a smile in return.

Birgette has been performing for many years, including performances at Coca cola in the park, Pacifica & The Good Morning Show. Birgette opened for Destiny Child when in NZ and also has released a single which was released on a Rhythm Volume album.
