Con Finesse play a mixture of classical, jazz and light pop and are a wonderful combination for weddings and events.

Christine Foote plays violin and viola for Con Finesse Music. She graduated with a BA from Otago University and from Christchurch Teacher’s College with a Diploma of Teaching. She has been a professional violinist and music teacher for 26 years, playing in the Dunedin Sinfonia and the Christchurch Symphony.
While living in Central Otago she was a member of the Central Otago Regional Orchestra. She has also played extensively in chamber orchestras and small groups for weddings and other corporate events both in Canterbury and Central Otago. In 2011 she has relocated to Nelson where she is now teaching and playing with the Nelson Symphony Orchestra.

Catherine Forsyth started learning piano at 6 years of age. She won various competitions around New Zealand and graduated from Otago University with an Honours degree in Music, majoring in Performance and Composition. She has LTCL and is a Registered Music Teacher. She has taught music at several schools and has performed as pianist in many local musicals, including being audition pianist for the Queenstown production of 'Grease'. She is currently performing with Christine Foote in 'Con Finesse Music’ and also does solo piano for weddings and other events.

Yes the performance was amazing - we will be sure to send a personal note of thanks to the duo when we return from the honeymoon! The music for our wedding ceremony was fabulous and many of our guests commented on just how lovely it was. I was also honoured to have had the duo learn some traditional songs from Serbia which my family really appreciated.

Thanks for your email. Just got back from our honeymoon/moving states in Australia.
The wedding day was wonderful, albeit a bit chilly!
Christine - the music was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately I didn't get to hear most of it, being off getting photos etc. but everyone I talked to enjoyed it greatly!
Apologies for the late start to the ceremony, my cousins and nanna got lost and ended up arriving 20 minutes late! Hopefully this wasn't a problem for you.
