Jesse’s background

Jesse Wilde, singer / songwriter, was born 37 years ago in Auckland, New Zealand.
He was raised on the music of the Stones, the Beatles, Paul Simon, Bob Seger, and Fleetwood Mac – to name the more prominent artists in his parent’s record collection.
From a young age Jesse was in the process of creating a "sound"; blending these international influences with his own unique Alternative Country Rock flavour.

Jesse went on to develop his own musical interests including the sounds of popular Rock and Southern Rock artists such as Springsteen, Mellencamp, and Dylan and the vibrant up tempo alternative country rock beat of Steve Earle & the Dukes. By the age of fourteen Jessie had been playing guitar for two years and was in his first garage band. Three years later he had been performing regularly with a number of bands as a singer / guitarist, and at the same time completing studies in Architectural Quantity Surveying, Construction Project Management / Cost Engineering.

Jesse's first major band was the well known Auckland 'Folk, Rock & Blues' combo, Acoustic Attitude. Acoustic Attitude played a very successful mix of popular covers and original songs, many written by him. Before calling it quits in 1994, Acoustic Attitude had played many residencies around the Auckland area, attracting a very large and loyal following.
The secret of the Attitude's success was the accessible repertoire: a mix of folk, rock, blues, southern rock, and R & B which appealed to a wide selection of audiences at many popular venues including The Nag's Head, Water Jump, The Horse & Trap, Java Jive, The Gluepot, Pier 21 and at many private parties. They were in demand, fully professional and fully booked every week.

It is the vitality and energy behind this success that Jesse Wilde has brought into his solo career.
After Acoustic Attitude, Jessie went solo and has recorded various singles his first solo album titled, "Aron Wild – I’m Still Looking" which includes ten of his own original compositions. This was his third recording project since Acoustic Attitudes "Live Attitude" at Auckland's infamous venue The Gluepot, during a packed concert in 1993.

Jesse has also toured extensively overseas where he visited the UK, Europe and North America on a "Rock Pilgrimage" of his musical influences. Along the way he met and played with John "Cougar" Mellencamp, Bob Seger and Steve Earle. One of his songs was also selected by the Don Williams Music Publishing Group at the Los Angeles Songwriters Showcase.

During this first US trip, Jesse ‘sounded out’ record labels, visited Mellencamp's recording studio a number of times, and met both John Mellencamp’s and Steve Earle’s bands.

Upon returning from his first US trip, Jesse Wilde based himself back in Auckland and formed a new band ‘Fiesta Drive’ which has been enjoying much success in New Zealand, playing a large number of successful gigs all over the country.

Off stage, Jesse has built his own professional ‘state of the art’ recording studio. It was in this studio that Jesse mixed the audio for Fiesta Drive’s first DVD, filmed live at the ‘Kings Arms’ on the 7th of April 2004. This is also where he recorded and produced the self titled ‘Aron Wild’ album, his second solo studio album, as well as various projects for other popular New Zealand artists.

Jesse Wilde spent six months in the USA in 2005 writing and performing in LA, Texas, New York, Chicago and Nashville. He also co-wrote the song ‘Ghost Town Road’ with Rick Beresford who has a gold record for a song he wrote for George Jones titled ‘If Drinking Doesn’t Kill Me her Memory will.

Hello Robyn
The feedback from the clients was that he was great.
He did get a bit stuck getting into the property as the staff entrance was locked, he had the contact numbers but phone signal is not great out that way. I believe they located him in the end.
Many thanks
Meilan Kaiser
