Bonjour et salut, from Club Manouche.
Pierre Ze bassiste on bass; Craig Den’am accordion ;Gitane Jez and Monsieur Ward D’Avid on guitar and ……………
Our secret chanteuse.....more of her later.
We are an acoustic trio plus one; in the "Manouche" style.
Manouche? Well musically it's somewhere between Gypsy and Swing.
Jazz ? I hear you ask...
Mais oui, Of course, but really, it's intangible; something you just can't put your finger on.
But we have a secret weapon;……….. we sing and speak French.
The band was formed by Parisian firebrand guitarist Jean Pierre Druinaud who on his arrival from Tahiti to Akalofa/Auckland teamed up with Jez Thomas and Peter Scott to impart the Manouche message.
J.P. found the Auckland weather too hot and so moved in 2009 to the cooler climes of Tahiti .

What to do? …….And what a to do! …..Too!
We searched high and low for a replacement and found one from the far north of France……………..Caroline Moon from Crenge, a little known corner of the “La Croy” valley between Penge and Croydon.
Caroline, of Moon music fame is our chanteuse moving around many genres ,too many to mention, whilst delivering these songs with gallic assurance and guile.
So there it is CLUB MANOUCHE 2010

Sorry I have just found that I never replied to your email.
Club Manouche were FANTASTIC!! We had some wonderful feedback from the guests. They really enjoyed listening to them and that they were wonderful to watch perform as you could tell the enjoyed playing great music.
We would definitely use them and yourselves again for future events. Everything from booking the band to the day of the event was very simple and hassle free.
