Chris Davis
Chris Davis is a circus, corporate, and festival entertainer with over 15 years experience. He began performing in 1993 and has been professional since 1999. He has performed in many different countries and his performances range across a huge variety of events and venues. Chris is based in the South Island of New Zealand and regularly travels nationally and internationally to perform.

Past New Zealand and Australian clients include Air New Zealand, Television New Zealand, Australia's Channel Ten, Christchurch World Buskers Festival, Melbourne Cup Day at Flemington, Konica Minolta, Michael Hill Jewelers, Pascoes Jewelers, The MCG - Melbourne Cricket Ground, Gisborne's Pandemonium Festival, Harcourts Real Estate, Hynds, Christchurch Casino, Hokitika Wildfoods Festival, Rotorua Business Awards, The United States Antarctic Program, The Royal Agricultural Show, Unismart, Alexandra Blossom Festival, Christchurch Race Week (etc).

Chris has a wide repertoire of shows

(1) The Chainsaw Show – a comedy and danger juggling show involving fire-eating, whip cracking, a five meter balance pole and chainsaw juggling. The Chris Devious show is set to a soundtrack of movie hits from the 1980’s.

(2) Lord Livingstone – a living statue made from stone who interacts with the crowd in silly, funny and heart warming ways. The Lord Livingstone show has a soundtrack of 1930’s swing jazz.

(3) Meltfire – a high energy fire show involving fire eating, fire breathing, fire twirling and acrobatics. The Meltfire show is set to a combination of African percussion and modern dance music.

(4) Roving – Juggling and Magic – a roving character with top hat and tails performing juggling, crystal ball manipulation and some crazy stunts. Funny, amazing and very interactive.

(5) Roving Characters – A range of storytelling characters based on nursery rhymes and fables. Short stories, often with a twist!

.Chris also creates site specific and event specific characters and shows. Examples are an Antarctic explorer lost in a blizzard for the United States Antarctic Program, the Frog Prince for the Christchurch Teddy Bears’ Picnic, a ghost cricketer for the Melbourne Cricket Grounds and a Jockey Statue for the Melbourne Cup Winners’ Circle.

Chris also lectures at universities as part of Unismart. Unismart is focussed on empowering young university students in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom, to meet the new situations and challenges that they will encounter in their first year at university
