Barbara Jean (BJ) (Vocals) and Ross Halliday (Guitar) comprise a Jazz duo based in New Plymouth, New Zealand. BJ's vocals generate a sophisticated sound that would grace any venue. BJ's vocals are both smooth and silky with a unique musical expression she can call her own.

Her songs styling's are creative with tasteful musical phrasing that compliments her understanding of a good arrangement.

BJ's Jazz is sophisticated music for intimate settings in cafe's, restaurants, wineries, weddings, large corporate functions, jazz festivals and other social events.

Ross Halliday is an accomplished Jazz guitarist who can only be described as tastefully brilliant, with wonderful musicality that fills every note.
This tasteful duo is backed with fully arranged tracks with string and horn sections by Alan McPike from Scotland who is an amazing pianist and understands what a singer requires. BJs Jazz has genre of tunes ranging from Jazz Standards, Pop, Funk, Swing, and Latin.

They will liaise with you before your event to understand your preference and the right music for your occasion.
